Alyssa and Nick’s Spring Beach Engagement | Connecticut Engagement Photographer

Alyssa and Nick braved a chilly and foggy day (that also turned into some rain) for their Milford beach engagement and I am so glad that they did! Although a sunny day with a blue sky was what we were going for, we ended top with something completely different and with the most magical results. The moss covered rocks, the fog over the shore, and the empty beach made for an engagement session that felt like it was in some far off place in a world made just for the two of them.

In July 2020, Nick and Alyssa will be getting married in the beautiful golden hills of Tuscany in Italy. On a chilly Spring day like this one, it felt like lightyears away. One of the many things I love about engagement sessions is that you can create images that are so different from your wedding day. You have all the time in the world to be creative, try something new, and have fun. Engagement sessions are vital to getting to know the couple, giving them the experience in front o the camera to create better photos, and to capture for all time this beautiful moment in their relationship. The engagement session is an event in itself. After all these years, I am always amazed how unique each engagement session and love story turns out to be.

A highlight of having a beach engagement on. grey day: you will have the entire beach all to yourself.

One of the many things I am grateful for as a wedding photographer is when my couples trust my vision and me personally to get up close and to try something new. It can be daunting having your photograph taken, especially by someone you hardly know. By the end of a great session, I not only walk away with great photographs, but also new friendships.

Congratulations on you engagement, Alyssa and Nick! Matthew and I are looking forward to capturing your wedding journey next year!
