Blogs I’m Reading

Before I started a blog, I read many of them. It is what inspired me to start in the first place. I love to write and take photographs and a blog was a fun and creative way to combine the two. From blogs I made friends, learned new things, became inspired, or even felt less alone. What started as online journals have quickly become ways for people to express themselves, share their passions, and build communities. Blogs are so enriching and I love to browse my favorites every morning.

My favorite blogs are mostly lifestyle blogs featuring travel, simple living, minimalism, and even fashion. If you too love to read blogs and are looking for some good ones, I have quite the collection for you.

Nomadic Matt

Nomadic Matt’s travel blog is one of the first blogs I ever read. I adored his honesty, his passion for travel, and his travel tips for diverse audiences. He teaches the world that anyone can travel and that you do not need a lot of money to do it. He shares the realities of traveling form loneliness, illness, relationships, and missing home.

Be More With Less

Courtney Carver of Be More With Less was one of my first introductions to minimalism. I loved the simplicity of her blog and her message. She is a woman living with MS and learned that stress and things were making her ill. She simplified and now lives a happier and healthier life. She also invented Project 333. Learn more about it on her blog.

Nacho Average Fro

Jessica of Nacho Average Fro inspires entrepreneurs. She is a minimalist and clutter free enthusiast who also loves to travel around the United States. She talks a lot about how clutter in all it’s forms can get in our our way. She will make you want to reexamine your own life and live it to the fullest.

The Londoner

Rosie the Londoner is one of my all time favorite bloggers and I have been following her longer than most of the blogs on this list. I love her creativity, her kindness, and her zest for life. She writes a lot about food, recipes, travel, and fashion. Her personal style and travel destinations will inspire you to dress like you’r life is a movie. I adore Rosie and everything she posts. I also love her authenticity when it comes to her marriage and being a new mother.

Reading My Tea Leaves

I first discovered Erin Boyle’s blog from her book, Simple Matters. Although my lifestyle will never be as simplified as hers, I have learned so many great ideas form her book and her blog. She inspired me, in part, to move into a studio apartment. Our sustainability and eco friendly goals aline. If you find beauty in the every day, then you too will love Erin’s blog, even if you don’t want to move your family into a studio apartment.

Cup of Jo

Cup of Jo has multiple authors and guest writers. It is like an online magazine that covers the best topics, especially for women. This blog is similar to a lifestyle magazine. You will want to read every post, try every recipe, and talk to every guest speaker they interview. Such a lovely and well rounded blog!

The Every Girl

The Every Girl is a phenomenal multi-faceted lifestyle blog designed mostly with women in mind. This blog delves deep into topics for women and gets into the itty gritty.

No Side Bar

No Side Bar is a collection of articles that is updated frequently on topics of simple living, well-being, and minimalism. They also have a great community group on Facebook. I love how these articles inspire me to slow down, appreciate the moment, and make changes in my life for the better. Every article is wonderful.

Mode and the City

Daphne Moreau of Mode and the City is a French style blogger. I can’t exactly read all of her blog posts (working on it), but I have followed her on Instagram for quite some time and I absolutely love her content. Her blog is lovely and I love browsing through her outfit photos for inspiration.

Meghan Livingstone

Meghan is a nutritionist and well being blogger that shares recipes, simple living strategies, and tips for living a healthier and slower life. I love the bright and positive content she shares. Even better, she is also on YouTube and her channel is phenomenal.

Gal Meets Glam

I first discovered Julia’s blog through Rosie The Londoner. I adore Julia’s sweet personality and her beautiful feminine style. Her husband Thomas is her full time photographer and he does an enviable job taking her photos. Less than two years ago she started her own fashion line for dresses, but her business partner wanted to make her seasonal collections into a bigger and faster commercialized business so they parted ways. I miss her dress designs, but I know that great things are in store for Julia and I can’t wait to see where her new blog goes next. Most of her outfits are way out of my price range (so is everything she shares), but I still love the inspiration and the beauty of her blog.

Carly The Prepster

Carly is a lifestyle blogger that was also living in Connecticut until recently. I love following her blog because her posts are relatable and authentic. Reading her blog is like reading letters written by a friend.

Becoming Minimalist

Joshua Becker’s blog on becoming minimalist was my first inspiration for minimalism, or at least minimalism my way. I’m not a perfect minimalist, nor does he recommend that everyone should be. By applying minimalism principles into your daily life you can come out of life having more time, more money, and more gratitude.

Apartment Therapy

The ultimate decorating blog, Apartment Therapy has apartment (and home) inspiration for any sized apartment. There are so many organizing tips, apartment hacks, and decorating ideas. I’m obsessed with each post. The only danger is that you might find yourself wanting to redecorate your entire home. Readers beware.

Pretty Little Fawn

Courtney of Pretty Little Fawn is a lifestyle blogger living in California. I love the neutral style of her blog, her photos, and her fashion. She has a flare for vintage and is redesigning her new home. I first discovered her on Instagram and I think her posts are simply lovely.

XOXO Bella

Bella’s blog is one of my first introductions to travel blogging for women. I don’t read her blog as often anymore, but her videos are great and she is one of the people the inspired me to start my own blog in the beginning so that I could share travelling in my own way.

The Minimalists

I know, another minimalism blog. But these two are the best. Perhaps you have seen their documentary on Netflix. Joshua and Ryan both found minimalism for different yet similar reasons and these two friends went out on a journey to introduce minimalism to the rest of the United States. Their blog is filled with podcasts about living a better life and removing excess so that you can focus on what makes you happier.

Grace Beggy Style

Grace is a Spanish lifestyle blogger. I can’t read her blog posts written in Spanish, but her photos are so lovely and her style is incredible.

Southern Curls and Pearls

When I first discovered Cailtin Covington’s blog I didn’t think it would be one I would come back to. We’re very different from the way we travel to our fashion choices, but I absolutely loved her blog and I find myself coming back time and time again. Caitlin is very sweet and her blog posts are fun. I really enjoy her very modern lifestyle blog posts.
