My Live Lovely Photography Presets Are Now On Etsy

If you are new to my blog you might not know that I am also a wedding photographer (business owner to Live Lovely Photography). I have been photographing weddings as a side business for nearly eleven years! I actually have my BFA in photography (I studied photojournalism) and fell in love with wedding photography during my junior year at university. Besides photographing weddings I also photograph destination weddings (one in Tuscany for next summer), adventurous elopements, engagements, maternity, limited number of newborn sessions, and boudoir. I also do all of my own professional editing, just as I do for my blog. For years now I have been creating my own presets and they evolve as my photography style and skill also evolves. This past week I made the decision to sell collections of my favorite Live Lovely presets. I currently have my film preset collection and my black and white preset collection on Etsy with a few more collections on the way. You can find my Etsy shop by clicking right here or on the photograph above.

I often suffer with self doubt and low self esteem, but I am truly proud of these presets, and I wanted to take the next step with my work. I believe that it is important to celebrate our accomplishments. I haven’t shared them before because I first worried that I simply wasn’t good enough, even though I know that I am highly trained and skilled. Imposter syndrome isn’t something that just fades with age or experience. Only by taking the next step can we overcome this. I love my photography and I want to share the best of my work with you. If you’re looking for Lightroom desktop presets that emulate the look of film or for crisp beautiful black and whites, I hope that these presets will elevate your photography, whether you photograph professionally or just for fun.

All of these samples below are editing with only my presets. I am so proud that I made these.

Lovely Golden Film is a soft film preset with golden and pink undertones to achieve a slightly soft and vintage look.

Lovely Green Film is a preset designed to soften green tones much like fujifilm to a lighter and slightly more blue undertone. The lighting on this preset is softer and brighter.

Lovely Vibrant Film Grain is my favorite preset for more contrasted and vibrant looks. It is a green preset for golden hour or when you want your photos to pop, but still have a look of film about it.

Lovely Black & White Film is my go to black and white preset for a black and white that has muted undertones and a grainy film effect. It is less contrasted than my other black and white presets that can also be found on Etsy.

On my Etsy shop I have shared this information as I feel that it is important for every photographer using a preset to know:

These are the official professional presets by Live Lovely Photography. They are designed for photographers by a professional photographer. I have a BFA in fine arts specializing in photography and photojournalism and eleven years of professional photography experience. I do not use the presets of other photographers because I prefer the quality of my own and I am sharing several of my finest exclusive preset collections.

Photo presets are wonderful tools when you are trying to achieve a certain look or mood with your photography, however, they are not a one size fits all. I truly believe that a well made preset can elevate your work, but you do have to customize and tweak the preset to work with your images because lighting scenarios, camera settings, and photographic styles are all different. Live Lovely Presets are professionally designed to do most of the work for you, although you may have to adjust exposure, color balance, and highlights/shadows depending on the color and exposure of the your original photo. Presets are never one click perfections. When using a preset, adjust the settings to work well with your particular image. The four presets in this collection are instant downloads (for desktop Lightroom only) after purchase.

These presets are for Adobe Lightroom for desktop computers and laptops. These are not compatible for mobile presets. I created this film preset pack for myself for various different wedding, portrait, and travel images and I have used these personal presets over the past few years in my own work as a wedding and lifestyle photographer as Live Lovely Photography. I spent months creating presets that I felt looked like film, but also made the most of my digital images. These four different color presets all have a subtle grain that emulates the look of film and four different color profiles to achieve different moods. It is my hope that these film presets will give you the film look you are hoping to achieve. I have developed these Live Lovely Presets for my own personal work over the past several years and only now am I sharing a select few of my best preset collections in hope of helping other photographers looking for a specific look for their own images. The presets were designed with a film and cinematic look in mind.

If you have not used presets before or are new to the preset world there are a few things you should consider to make purchasing and using presets worth it. Presets are not a fix it for poor quality photography. To get the most out of any preset you will need to shoot in raw (not jpeg) and have high quality images to start with. A preset will not correct a blurry image or fix an over or underexposed photograph. In short, a preset cannot fix a bad photo, but when used right it can change the look and mood of your images and add a level of professionalism and quality to your photography. For those who are not professionals, but are looking for a quick way to edit an image for Instagram, presets are a fun way to add different effects to your images and achieve a higher quality look. Presets look different on different images depending on the lighting and exposure of the images that were taken and therefore they almost always have to be tweaked a little bit to fit your own photos. I often tweak them for my own images depending on the lighting situation when the photo itself was taken.

My black and white preset collection is also in my Etsy shop. The collection comes with my four nest black and white presets, the very same ones that I use for my own black and white photography.

Live Lovely BW is a high contrast black and white with a matte finish. I use this preset for a crisp and clear black and white cinematic effect and it is my go to for classic black and white wedding and portrait photography. The tone is a timeless black and white and the contrast and blacks can be adjusted to make it less contrasted and dark.

Live Lovely Grainy Day BW is a grainier black and white preset with a muted effect that has less contrast. It has a great vintage appeal for travel photographs.

Live Lovely BW Film is a lighter film black and white preset that is slightly airy and has a very subtle grain. It has a much softer look than the other presets in this pack.

Live Lovely Sepia Tone Love is the only sepia tone preset that I will ever use. I created this preset because I often felt that most sepia toned presets I have seen were too yellow or too orange and looked nothing like a true sepia toned film print. This black and white preset has a very subtle and realistic sepia tone that you would find in a real sepia tone film print. This sepia has a slightly golden brown look that is reminiscent of the black and white scenes in the Wizard of Oz.

I really appreciate that you are here as I announce this next step for my small business. If you would like to learn more about these presets, you can find my Etsy shop by clicking right here.

Thank you for supporting my small business.
