My Day In Cups Of Tea | Tuesday Tea

My day in cups of Tea

I turn the kettle on shortly after beginning my day. Some mornings I make myself a mug of tea and for days with remote work and morning meetings, I fill an entire teapot with hot water and Sencha green tea for on-hand refills. My cup of choice on those days is a decorative tea cup and saucer. Choosing my cup of the day brings me joy. The design uplifts my mood and I pay attention to the beauty of the cup with every sip, my fingers lingering on the delicate handle. The sound of the tap of the cup meeting the saucer.

To start the day calm and joyful I add twenty drops of Maine Medicinals Relax and Restore tincture to my tea. By late morning my energy may start to dip and I reach for a tea that restores my energy and fits my mood. I get more ambitious with my tea flavors, reaching for a Harney and Sons tea like Hot Cinnamon Sunset or Winter White Earl Grey. Or maybe even a Simpson and Vail tea like Emily Dickinson’s Jasmine Tea Blend.

By the afternoon, caffeine is out, so I have a cup of comfort with an herbal tea like Bigelow Tea Whispering Wildflowers Plus L-Theanine or a cozy cup of Celestial Seasonings Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. For days I am working at the office or on location, I pack a large thermos of this tea with a cinnamon stick to bring with me on the road to get me through the day.

My before bed tea of choice is Celestial Seasons Sleepy Time Tea -either the Sinus Soother or the Melatonin Sleepy Time tea for a good nights rest or Trader Joe’s Well Rested tea, with a spoonful of raw honey. I like to feel the warm cup in my hands, the steam gently rising. I breathe it in, the scent soft and joyful. I cozy up with my cup and a comfy blanket. Sometimes I sip as I read a book or a favorite magazine like The Simple Things Magazine.

And that is my day in cups of tea.
