Autumn In New England Season Three

I like to think of my Autumn In New England as a blogging mini series much like a Hallmark Channel seasonal collection. I hope that people will grow to love it and return every year for a touch of New England autumn coziness and adventure. Over the past few years our autumn adventures have been limited because my husband, Matthew, has been in school and autumn is the start of the semester. This is the first year that he is finished with school! It frees up a lot of time, resources, and mental space, but we also both have jobs and autumn is usually a busy season for me as a wedding photographer. I have a couple fall weddings and photo shoots, but for the most part this year feels a little bit more free. It is so full of hope and possibilities. I’m looking forward to capturing gorgeous fall photos while Matthew is anticipating droning across New England with the leaves in peak.

Every year I see the world’s best bloggers start sharing posts about New England Fall trips and places to explore. Sometimes they have some good ideas, but for the most part I feel that they list the same old tourist traps and completely miss the mark. Many of them write about New England as if they’ve been there when they haven’t or they’ve only seen a few towns and popular hot spots and somehow market themselves as experts of all of the New England states. I’m just excited that they share a love of New England as I do, but I also like to think that I have the insider scoop and know of all of the best hidden gems being a lifetime New Englander myself. New England has its own culture and its own rhythm. I’m a smaller blogger that is for sure, but the quality of my love for New England is unparalleled. To me, New England autumn is full of nostalgia and beauty. It isn’t just a photo op. And I love sharing my home with you.

I don’t always have the time or the budget to share it all, but I do hope that my mini series inspires, uplifts, and brings you joy. This season I hope to bring you a list of true places to really enjoy this Fall, beautiful photographs to inspire, experiences you must have for yourself, and beautifully written stories about living and traveling in New England. I’m going to bring you to a new local cider house, take you apple picking to a new-to-me orchard, bring you to the country fair, show you the Vermont Country Store, and share cozy recipes for all of the autumn goodies you have in your fridge.
