We were on our way to Savannah Georgia when I noticed this little cider shop on the side of the road. I remarked how it looked like a cute stop and before I knew it Matthew was turning the car around and pulling in the drive way. One of the many things I love about Matthew is his spontaneity and the enjoyment we have exploring together. We were not in a hurry so we really took the time to explore where we were. The Carolina Cider Company did not disappoint. All of the photos in this post were taken with my travel camera, my Fuji X100 T. This camera was a blessing because it allowed me to be unobtrusive as I was taking photos in the quiet shop.
The little store had plenty of treats and southern foodie souvenirs like their famous peach cider, grits, pastries, pecans, peanuts, pies, and even soaps. The cider company has free samples of all of their ciders. The black cherry was delicious. The samples alone are worth the pit-stop. I love the cotton plants used as decoration all over South Carolina. It was so good, I had to bring a bottle home. For the trip, my go-to outfit was my comfortable peach romper. Here are some similar rompers I love:
