This fall I discovered the walking bridge in Collinsville around the same time that Sean and Christina told me that they were looking for an industrial setting for their autumn engagement. They came all the way up from the shoreline to this northern part of the state. The old factories and the bridge made the perfect backdrop for their engagement session and we had a blast exploring the industrial path and buildings looking for the perfect photo spots. We even saw a bob cat along the way. One of the things I love most about engagement sessions is that each one truly is a unique experience. Every couple has a chemistry all their own. Christina and Sean were so much fun to work with and their engagement session was full of laughter, despite the chill in the autumn air. I can tell that their marriage is going to be just as full with positive energy.
Matthew surprised Sean and Christina with some drone photos. Drone photos are not always possible depending on no-fly zones, weather, wind, and location, but when we do have an opportunity to incorporate them into a session it is always a lot of fun.
Not too far from Collinsville is the Saville Dam in Barkhamsted. There is not much else around, but the castle-like structure in the reservoir and the golden light at sunset looks like a fairytale.
Congratulations, Christina and Sean!
