How Blogging Has Changed My Life | Live Lovely

In such a short period of time, blogging has changed my life and improved it in so many ways. I started this blog because I love wedding photography, but also because I love to write, to travel, and to pursue a simple and happy life. I wanted to share these joys with people who feel the same or who are looking for a lovelier life. I never imagined the impact it would have on my own life perspective and life quality.

Blogging has improved my base level of happiness. Doing more of what we love to do on a regular basis increases our brain’s ability to feel joy. We build connections in our brains that become permanent fixtures over time. Photography, writing, travel, positive psychology, and simple living all nourish my soul.

Blogging has made me a better photographer. With continuous practice comes improvement. I rarely ever leave my apartment without a camera these days. If blogging counts towards learning, then I study every day. For this same reason, blogging has also made me a better writer.

Blogging has made me more active and adventurous. To post content I first have to create it. Although I am known for being outdoorsy and active, I now get outside more, walk more, and explore more.

Blogging has made me more confident. With my skills growing as well as my health and happiness, I can feel my confidence grow as well. I am also now in front of the camera more often these days. At first, it was very uncomfortable, but now I am kinder to my image when I see it in a photograph.

Blogging has made me live a lovelier life. I now curate my days with as much devotion as I do a photo shoot. Life is too short. Make the most of every moment.

Blogging has inspired me to try new things. “Try new things” was my New Years resolution a couple years ago, but blogging has given me an extra push to keep trying and learning.

Blogging has improved my relationships. I get out more and spend more time with the people who nourish my soul and less time with people who bring me down. I have also made new online friends in social communities that support goal making, business, travel, and photography. All this exploring has also created some unique date opportunities for Matthew and I.

So even if this new blog does not become a lucrative career, blogging has improved my life in so many ways. Blogging has made me happier, more creative, healthier, and given me new goals to strive for. If you have been thinking about starting a blog of your own, start one today. Create a website, come up with a name and purpose, take a photo, and write down ideas in a notebook. Commit to posting at least once a week. Blogging may just improve your life too.
