I Did “It” | It at Jordan’s Furniture | New Haven | Connecticut Charm

“You’re doing what?” Matt asked.

“It,” I told him. “It is at Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven.”

“What in the world is it and why is it at a furniture store?” I was confused myself when I was invited to “It” and even more confused when I saw the large sign from the highway. “It” is a large indoor obstacle ropes course (the largest indoor ropes course in the world in fact) and it is worth the visit. I drove by several times over the past year with no idea of what “It” could possibly be. Perhaps they named it “It” because they knew people would be curious about what “It” is. Mystery solved.

It is your answer to the winter blues. Spring is just around the corner and everyone is itching to get out. Some days are nice and sunny, but we still have several big snow days ahead as March is always full of surprises. The winter chill is still here and it will be a while before the warm weather is truly here to stay. If you are looking to get active, go out, and stretch your legs, I have just the place. Hidden behind a large furniture show room, you will find It. A large ropes course, indoor zipline, and climbing walls waiting for you to explore. At the very end, you can climb back down or opt to jump from this controlled “free fall” from the platform shown below. I was nervous, but I loved the feeling of falling so much that I didn’t realize I was so close to the ground and landed on my butt in front of my cousins and friends. Thankfully, no one had their cameras out! This place makes you feel like a kid again. Although, if you have a fear of heights, you may want to take things slow.
When you have tired yourself out, there are snacks to be had when you safely touch the ground. Just because the weather is cold here in New England doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have fun. To learn more about planning your own visit, explore their website.
