This month the book club has decided that June is a pick-your-own book month. We will be discussing May’s book pick: Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen at the next book discussion and and selecting a book of our own to read and share with the group.
My June pick of the month is The Tale of Hill Top Farm by Susan Wittig Albert. It is the first in a fictional mystery series based on the life of author and artist Beatrix Potter. In this series she has just moved to Hill Top Farm and runs into an unexpected mystery. Beatrix Potter is the one to solve it with her animal friends and the small town community. I am not one for murder mysteries, but the premise was so charming and I love Beatrix Potter so I could not resist.
If you live locally, you can join us on Tuesday the 21st at Topsmead State Forest at 5:45 p.m. for a book chat.
