I have the honor of knowing both Meghan and Tad from our high school days. Meghan and I were good friends and although Tad went to school with us, being such a large high school, we travelled in different social circles at the time. I think it is amazing that years after graduation, Meghan and Tad unexpectedly ran into one another and it was meant to be. I would go as far to call it fate; to meet someone early in life not knowing at the time that they would be the one, only to run into one another again years down the road. Life works in magical ways.
When we met up again several weeks ago it was like no time had gone by at all, and yet we were planning an engagement session. Tad knew right away that he wanted some of the engagement photos to be taken at the golf course that he often plays at and Meghan wanted some photos out on the water, where they often go kayaking together during the warmer months. With the help of their good friend Matt, we were able to do both and catch the autumn foliage right at peak season.
I really have to say that I have a lot of gratitude for Matt for not only carting me around in a golf cart to all of Tad’s favorite spots, but for also helping out in so many unexpected ways during the photo shoot. He even picked up their friend’s canoe and tied it to the top of his vehicle to bring it to the lake for Meghan and Tad to use. He went above and beyond. Thank you, Matt!
Meghan and Tad, thank you so much for reconnecting with me and entrusting me with your very special memories. I am so thankful to have been able to photograph your engagement session this season and I am looking forward to your wedding day. Congratulations! I am wishing you both every happiness.
The couple that plays together stays together!
After a few rounds of rock, paper, scissor, Meghan won the opportunity to open the champagne, fair and square.
I always recommend that my couples have an engagement session as a way to celebrate this very special milestone in their lives. Tad and Meghan brought this celebration to the next level with some champagne in the canoe.
Congratulations, Meghan and Tad!
