I tend to stick with what I like so trying new products isn’t something I do very often. But every once in a while I’ll hear about a new natural product that can add to my skincare or beauty routine. I usually add a few and make some swaps to better products every year. If something isn’t working I try out some other products until I find what I am looking for. I can be very particular when it comes to what I put on my body. I learned pretty young that the chemicals we put on our bodies go into our bloodstream and through our organs. Growing up with a kidney condition taught me some valuable lessons about caring for myself. And this year I turned thirty-one so I got even more involved with skincare than ever before. Today I want to share with you the clean and natural beauty products that I have fallen in love with this year, starting with Timeless Organics.
Number one on my list is Timeless Organics. I was looking for a natural mineral based sunblock with Vitamin E and Vitamin C and I found this incredible Timeless Sun Defense Serum with spf 30 and plenty of antioxidants to fight pollution, free radicals, and add extra sun protection. I use it every morning as a base under my makeup and my daily sunblock and at night I use the Timeless Glow Moisturizing Face Serum for an added dose of antioxidants and hydration after I cleanse my skin. Not only did the combination of the serums morning and night help protect my skin from sun damage and the elements, I also noticed a decrease in my sun freckles and fine lines. These two serums are in my beauty basket for good.

While looking for an added dose of vitamin C to combat previous sun damage I found this really lovely Fleur & Bee Nector of the C Vitamin C Serum. The best part about this serum is that it is designed for senstive skin (so it is not harsh like many Vitamin C serums can be) and it does not contain Hyaluronic Acid, a popular skin trend at the moment that actually causes skin damage, increases the signs of aging, and irritates skin.
Instead of using coconut oil or harsh cleansers to remove my makeup I now use this Badger Balm Damascus Rose Cleansing Oil. It lifts all makeup with ease and lives my skin feeling and looking beautiful too. I also use this face oil and Damascus Rose Beauty Balm to lock in my moisturizer and serum at night.
After removing my makeup with the cleansing oil I also gently wash my face with Burt’s Bee’s Micellar Water.
As for makeup, I usually use my favorite Burt’s Bees or Bare Minerals, but I recently discovered Honest Beauty by Jessica Alba. I’ve heard about it for a while now, but it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I tried the Honest Beauty Cheek and Lip Color. Unfortunately I couldn’t link it here so I’ve linked the Honest Cheek Creme Tint which is similar but made just for cheeks. You can find the cheek and lip color on their website. I love a creamy blush and makeup as opposed to powders because they look more youthful and healthy on my skin than a drying powder. I became absolutely obsessed with the creamy blushes and lip colors that I ended up purchasing a couple more and trying some of their other products.
At the moment, I am truly in awe over their Honest Beauty Eyebrow Pencil (my shade is warm brunette) and Honest Beauty Brow Gel (which I also bought in brunette). I was using the Burt’s Bee’s eyebrow pencil before, but the brunette color wasn’t exactly right for me. At first when the Honest Beauty Brow Pencil arrived I was worried that the brown was too black for my eyebrows, only to discover that it was a perfect match and looked more realistic than any brow pencil I have ever used before. I’m now completed converted to their Brow Kit. The Brow Gel is also a very natural looking gel that is easier to use than the Tarte Cosmetics gel I was using before and far less messy. The color is barely there, but with the brow pencil it is the perfect amount of shape for my eyebrows. They look fuller and more natural than ever before. I’m so impressed. The gel is also full of healthy ingredients that promote eyebrow growth.
The biggest surprise of all was the Honestly Healthy Serum Infused Lash Tint. It comes in clear, brown, and black shades (I use brown). My Burt’s Bee’s brown mascara was gone and I thought maybe it was time to scale back to a lash tint instead of another mascara. And wow, what a difference! My left eye lashes were getting a little thin and I thought it might have something to do with wearing a mascara every day and I was right. As soon as I switched to the lash tinted serum my lashes started to fill back in within days. It has been less than two weeks and my eye lashes look fuller and longer naturally. The tint itself still looks like a mascara, but a little thinner and more natural. The brush isn’t the best and sometimes I have found the tint can run a little bit on a hot day. It is also more difficult to remove at night than my other mascara, but overall I am very happy with the look and the results. The lash serum also contains canola oil, which is great for eye lash growth. You don’t need to spend a fortune on a lash serum or a mascara. Simply make the switch to this.
And although I am not a fan of the plastic material, Honest Beauty is making an effort to change over their packaging. Their cheek tints now come in reusable and recyclable metal compacts instead of plastic. And although this Honest Tinted Lip Balm (shade is Blood Orange) looks very childish with its plastic packaging, it is a really nice color. Almost glossy and the pigment is very nice too. I’m looking forward to more eco friendly packaging from them in the future.
Love Wellness is a brand that I have been using all year for my inner beauty needs. And by that, I mean to control my bloating and IBS symptoms. I use the Bye Bye Bloat every night before bed to control my stomach cramps, bloating, and other unpleasantness caused by my IBS in the mornings. The next morning I keep it going with the Love Wellness Sparkle Fiber and enhance my inner beauty with Love Wellness Good To Glow. I was looking for a skin supplement that contained a tiny amount of saw palmetto to prevent skin damage and wrinkles and when I found out that Love Wellness had a supplement for that, I tried it out. I love their other natural health products. The Bye Bye Bloat and Sparkle Fiber has had such a profound impact on my health and my life. The Good to Glow isn’t life changing, but its nice knowing that my skin is being supported from the inside out.
