Spring Wardrobe Challenge Kick Off

It is officially the first day of spring and the first day of my spring wardrobe challenge. Most of us are home from work for the next week, two, or longer. I’m still going into work this week, but I’m also one of the only people coming into the office as everyone else is remote. In a way I am the person connecting the office to the staff at home, gathering mail and scanning important documents to the attorneys I work for. My hours are limited and it appears that I will only be in during the mornings to take care of a few daily tasks until further notice. It is very eerie in this old house. Our office is in an old house on a historic main street where all the homes are from the mid 1600s-the late 1800s. The whole town feels empty and it looks lost to time, but I’m doing my best to stay positive. Besides being so quiet, it also very calm and I can appreciate that. It is not much of a first day of spring celebration here. In fact, it is rather cold and dreary outside and it looks like the next week or two is going to be filled with rain instead of beautiful spring sunshine. I have my fingers crossed that the weather will change.

Even if you’re home from work with no plans in sight to go out, chances are you’re still getting dressed for the day, even if it is just for a quick walk around your neighborhood or local park or a video conference on your computer. As it is chilly here in Connecticut, I am layered up with a long sleeved top, a pink cardigan, and my brightest yellow pants with embroidered white daisies. -I had to celebrate spring some how. To complete the look I have a very bad cell phone bathroom selfie from the office. I did promise daily pictures, but I don’t have a full length mirror at home. I might have to pull out my handy tripod every morning.

I will be posting my daily looks in my stories over the spring. As I am trying to minimize my wardrobe somewhat I would be happy to hear your opinion on what clothes you think I should keep and which ones I should donate. You can follow me on Instagram by clicking this link to @LiveLovelyTravel.

I hope that no matter where you are today, you were able to take a moment to appreciate the first day of spring.
