Every spring I deep dive into my spring cleaning with gusto. The windows are opened and there is a new vibe throughout our home. We have officially been living in our “happiness house” for over a year now so this is our first major spring cleaning. After a long chilly winter I’m looking forward to a refresh. Maybe you feel the same.
I created this mini series a few years ago to share my best spring cleaning tips and inspire others to tidy up their homes for the new season. It started when we were living in a tiny studio factory apartment and continues now that we rent an apartment on the top floor of an antique home. This is not a big series and only consists of a few small posts each year, but I hope that this series and the catalogue of posts from years past will inspire you to spring clean this year too.
Whether you are a minimalist or a maximalist (or somewhere in between), spring cleaning can benefit your health and wellbeing in so many ways. By removing dust and mold from your home you are creating cleaner air to breath indoors and impacting your health in a good way. Spring cleaning may also alleviate those spring allergies so many of us get when the pollen arrives. A good spring cleaning can also help clear your mind and reduce your stress, make your home more beautiful, and invite more calm into your daily life. It will also make you feel confident to host guests. Your home can turn into a place of comfort and community.
The 2022 Spring Cleaning Series returns this April. This year I will be focusing on simple and natural ways to clean, homemade cleaning sprays, tips on how to keep your home clean after you have cleaned it, and sustainable cleaning tools. I hope you will join me.
