Now that Valentine’s Day is behind us, springtime will be here before we know it. This time right before spring arrives is so romantic for me. Between Valentine’s Day, Easter, the pastel colors and flowers making their appearance, my daydreams are overflowing with romantic imagery. At the moment there is still snow on the ground, but I know that within several weeks the flowers will be popping up out of the ground. And to me, nothing is more romantic than an old vintage book to get me in the mindset for spring.
This time of year I love to read books about nature such as botany or about birds. I tend to reach for romantic and historic novels and spring themed poetry. I love to add vintage books to my collection, especially this time of year because I have the time to appreciate them, flip through their pages, and get lost in a literary world. I also love the look of a vintage linen bound book. They look beautiful on a book case and piled onto the surfaces of my home. Books aren’t clutter; they’re decorative.
For your amusement (and perhaps even reading pleasure), I have searched the corners of Etsy to bring you the loveliest and most interesting of vintage books from old romances and novels to books with unique titles or beautiful spring-like and floral covers. I found lovely spring themed children’s stories and vintage books of poems. Some of the books I found are about flowers and gardening. I chose these books because something about them called to me; the subject matter, the storyline, the title, or the beautiful covers.
You can click on the title or the photo to be directed to the Etsy page. As always, before purchasing a vintage book carefully read the description, view the photos with care, and check on shipping costs.
If the book you are looking for already sold, simply go to the search bar on the top of the page and enter the title. It is possible that other sellers are carrying a copy of that book. The book photographs featured in this post belong to the individual booksellers.
